An Arab Spring pro-democracy uprising in Bahrain beginning February 2011, centered on Manama's Pearl Roundabout and led mainly by the Shia majority. It was suppressed with the help of Saudi-led GCC forces; cumulative deaths reached over 120 in the following years.
