1471 – 1493 · Inca Empire

Topa Inca's military campaigns expanded the Inca Empire into Ecuador and Chile (1471-1493).

Topa Inca succeeded Pachacuti and continued imperial expansion. His campaigns conquered northern Ecuador territories and extended Inca control southward into Chile. Northern expansion incorporated new ethnic groups and established Inca administrative control over vast new territories.

Topa Inca's expansion achieved Inca hegemony over unprecedented Andean territories. The expanded empire created the imperial state confronting Spanish conquest.
