Titus Quinctius Flamininus's Roman-Aetolian army defeated Philip V of Macedon in Thessaly during the Second Macedonian War, demonstrating the flexibility of the Roman manipular legion against the Macedonian phalanx on broken ground. The battle ended the war and established Roman influence over Greece.
