1696 · Qing dynasty vs Dzungar Khanate
On 12 June 1696 a Qing army personally led by the Kangxi Emperor defeated Galdan Boshugtu Khan's Dzungar-Mongol force, securing Khalkha Mongolia for the Qing and breaking Galdan, who died the following year.
