1527 · Mughal Empire vs Kingdom of Mewar (Rajput Confederacy)
On 16 March 1527 Babur's Mughal army defeated the Rajput confederacy under Rana Sanga of Mewar near Khanwa (west of Agra), using gunpowder and field fortifications to consolidate Mughal power in northern India after Panipat.
