1299 · Delhi Sultanate vs Chagatai Khanate (Mongols)
In 1299, the Delhi Sultanate army of Alauddin Khalji confronted a large invading Mongol force of the Chagatai Khanate under Qutlugh Khwaja near Kili outside Delhi. Though Alauddin's general Zafar Khan was killed in an ambush, the Mongols withdrew, ending the threat to Delhi.
