Also called the Battle of Til-Tuba, this engagement on the banks of the Ulai (Karkheh) River saw Ashurbanipal's Assyrians decisively defeat the Elamite king Teumman, who was killed and decapitated. It is famous for the detailed narrative reliefs from Ashurbanipal's palace at Nineveh.
