Also called the Burmese Invasion of Thalang, this conflict centered on control of tin-rich Phuket Island (Thalang/Junk Ceylon) and the Andaman coast. The town of Thalang fell and was burned in January 1810; it was the last Burmese offensive into Siamese territory in Thai history.
