An armed conflict in Bangladesh's Chittagong Hill Tracts from 1977 to 1997 between the government and the indigenous Jumma movement (PCJSS and its Shanti Bahini guerrillas) over autonomy and land rights. It ended with a 1997 peace accord after roughly 30,000 deaths.
