1854 – 1855 · Mexican Liberals vs Mexican Conservative government (Santa Anna)
A liberal revolt proclaimed under the Plan of Ayutla in 1854 that aimed to oust the dictatorship of Antonio Lopez de Santa Anna. Its success in 1855 forced Santa Anna into exile and inaugurated the era of the Liberal Reform (La Reforma) in Mexico.
